If you are gearing up for an ibex hunt you need to be ready for an extremely physical adventure.  This species of goat thrives in the high elevations and extremely rocky terrain.  Hunting ibex with a high caliber hunting rifle, which you can confidently shoot two hundred yard plus, will provide you with the largest opportunity for harvesting this impressive animal.  However, if you are ready for a more extreme adventure you can certainly try to harvest this species with either a muzzleloader or bow and arrow. Those hunters who take an ibex, regardless of size, with a bow and arrow can be considered either extremely lucky or talented, or maybe a little of both.  The ibex makes an extraordinary mount with spiraled horns going back forty to fifty inches in length.
